Shellshocked

Artist's Comments:

wow...tht took a little less time than i thought. (and yesterday i was complaining the colouring process would take years :P )

full size plz! im very proud of this.

Beast Wars (c) Hasbro and Mainframe
Background image found on google under 'flames'
REBIRTH and Shellshock (c) Me

battle-worn Shellshock. poor guy. Shellshoc is not usually one to resort to violence and mega-uber-ultra destruction, but someone threatened Nightshaft, his closest friend. BIG mistake. like touching Rhinox's computer XD

As you can see, he's taken some heavy damage. the forest fire was not his fault, but he did help it along a bit. this is what happens when ppl try and hurt his friends. one of his biggest weaknesses. seeing as he is usualy very protective in a entle way, these are the times to stay the hell out of his way!

Done in Corel Paint Shop Pro.
Time: about 2-3hours-ish (not including the line draft)

---

again, i hope you like it! (i even took time to twiddle the lighting!! :D )

What I said on dA:

Awesome, Jagna! I love the background and the battle damage on him. You're significantly improving!

And more:

He looks like a Terminator with that one broken optic. XD Wicked!

How is that Corel program? I've heard about it from my grandfather a few years ago but I never went into it because I have Photoshop. What he describe about it sounded like it was very similar to Ps.

thank you again, OOP! :D

the Terminator? really? hm......well, i suppose he kinda does... lol

Corel is the same basic photo editing program as Photoshop, but my dad describes it as "more user friendly". and i agree, coz i tried using adobe photoshop (thts not the only one, right?) and it just seemed more fiddly than Corel.

It has some great features, and 300+ effects or so...

so ur gramps knew about it eh? it is kinda old...but i've got version 10. ^^

Ah, I see. So they are pretty similar. That's cool, though. I'm so used to Photoshop now that I probably wouldn't bother checking out Corel unless I had a free demo or something. My younger sister was watching me color the Cutman drawing I'm almost finished with and just oggles over my shoulder watching me work so effeciently and asking me how did I do this and that. It's funny. She likes Photoshop too but hasn't had enough training or experience to understand how to use layers and all the filters and what not. I wouldn't know how to use it either if it weren't for college!

Corel has over 300 effects?! That's schweet! XD
