I sort of counted... so you have about 150 meters to your school, eh? o_0 ...I have to mine... wait... 2000. xD (About tenfold... >_>)

Btw, if you want to see, my home is here. It's the other half of a terraced house.

OOP: i would hardly call Salwa a city! *laughs* thing is, the country is so small, we have 'blocks' within "cities" like Salwa and Salmiya. it fine and dandy for me to walk t school and to the local shops, but anywhere else, like shopping malls or supermarket i must DRIVE. my dad is nearly always mah taxi

Primus: Oh, there is sooo much you know not about me, or the country i grew up in. i mst admit though, whenever the war-mongerers would even mention kuwait, id jump up and say, HA! finally some appreciation!' hehe

kiding. i must say, that does look like a long way O_O. sorry i cannot empathise but im hardly complaining

a-l-w: Kuwait is one of the bordering countries of Iraq (the most souterly and smallest). you may have occaisionally heard it in the new, like, "US tropps staying in Kuwait...." or if you watch stock markets, "Kuwaiti oil has ladedah...."

'Tis my house! My house isn't all of that building, just the little bit on the end.

My towns got really good transport links and a decent amount of services. My college is nowhere near my house though, its 14 miles away in the City.

My bad, Jagna. XD I just thought it was neat that you could just walk to school where I had to take about a 45 minute buss ride to and from school from 1st grade all the way through 12th grade because I lived so far away. It was evil waking up so early all the time! That's when you really treasure snow days and weekends because that's when you were able to sleep in (save for the summer when we had three months off of school). Everything else was a drive too; to the super market, haircuts, gas, clothes shopping, etc. So much fun. XD

Kuwait is indeed very small. And so far, far away!

Careful......id LOVE u to tell me what time ppl start school in the US..is it 9am? same as UK? >.<

guess what time WE have to get to school every day? 7:30am!! and you're right im lucky to live so close to school. some of my poor friends get up at 5 in the morning to catch the bus!!! o_O

No, really, I have a house in there. Somewhere in all those trees. I'd zoom out farther, but not only would my house be further obscured, there's nothing else to see but more trees, yellow, and a couple neighbor's houses. I live in the middle of nowhere. :O

You need to download a program called 'Google Earth'. It's basically a very detailed, 3-Dimensional map of the world. Its extremley useful for directions and such, and you can look up your house amongst other things.

It's free, and you can download it here. http://earth.google.com/

Its a pretty big program though , so if you have an old comp it my have trouble using it.

Did you notice it being sucked in by a black hole through the Stargate on another planet? Or any weird big space craft hovering around it? Or little gray aliens walking around?
