Where we talk about nothing other than that. :)

?!? I don't know how you came to the conclusion that Tarantulas was a 2nd Generation Cybertronian... (o_O) -- there isn't a sliver of canonical evidence to back that up.

Unlike normal Transformers who are descendant from the Original 13 Transformers created by Primus, Tarantulas is a spawn of Unicron (as well as the Tripredacus Council and Blentrons). Thus since he is not descendant from Autobot or Decepticon, then his future is existence is not adversely effected with their destruction. The Generation 2 Decepticons are direct descendants of one of the Original 13 created by Primus known as the Liege Maximo. Of Primus' original 13 children, two of them became evil -- the Liege Maximo and Megatronus Prime (aka The Fallen).

Okay... look at this from a logical/rational POV: unless canonical evidence exists to illustrate or indicate that something is true, then we can assume that it's not true. There is insufficient substantial canonical evidence to suggest that Tigatron and Snowstalker had any kind of relationship beyond platonic companionship/friendship.

Remember that we're looking at a relationship between a sapient entity (Tigatron) and a non-sapient entity (Snowstalker). As I mentioned before, they could be very close like Dian Fossey and her gorillas... but not close to the point where they could have an intimate romantic relationship. Put it this way, fully rational agents (e.g. adult humans) don't have deep and meaningful relationships with quasi-rational agents (e.g. juveniles). Snowstalker is _below_ being quasi-rational, she's non-sapient!

Word of God. In post-production interviews, one writer wanted to make Tarantulas a Unicronian and the other wanted him to be a G2 Cybertronian. The show got cancelled before Bob or Larry could choose.

I would argue that not only is Tigatron an alien with different standards than us, he's also one that "went native" and considered himself more tiger than Maximal. It doesn't seem completely outside of the realm of possibility for him to take a tiger mate. In the animal kingdom love and romance do not equate to mateship anyway.

Tigers don't mate for life, but then they don't follow each other around anyway - they're naturally loners. A wild animal wouldn't have likely followed him into the middle of a noise battlefield. The entire "relationship" is illogical in the first placeso it's difficult to speculate on. Personally I like the mate theory so I'm sticking with that. It's all a matter of interpretation and fanon here.

Larry DiTillio wanted to tie the Vok in with the Swarm, but Bob Forward had other ideas. The Swarm origin was made official in "Primeval Dawn" (written by Bob Forward and Simon Furman) and IDW's Beast Wars Sourcebook (by Simon Furman and Ben Yee). Primeval Dawn also confirmed Tarantulas' Unicronian heritage.

Tigatron was the first Maximal who learnt how to master his feral instincts, rather than allowing them to control him (re: "Call of the Wild")

Tigers are generally solitary, but they will cooperate in order to hunt and share kills. In fact, tigers can be more generous in sharing the spoils of a hunt compared to lions. (reference). And given that white tigers are an extremely rare product of recessive genes, Snowstalker is either a product of inbreeding (as mating a cub with its mother can produce white tigers), or she's a member of a now extinct species of tiger (and thus her behaviours may not necessarily match that of modern day tigers).

While the mate theory is not utterly impossible, there exists insufficient canonical evidence to definitively say it's true. So if you want to believe in it, you're gonna need to take a leap of faith.
