Photography overflow...

Unread post by Jagna »

okay i went overboard on DA this aftrenoon by posting up 4 pictures! these are them:

Mousehole at Dusk

AKA Cornwall at Dusk...its a county in south west England, and Moushehole is a little hilly village. do not i repeat DO NOT pronounce it as mouse-hole...it irritates he hell out of the locals. tecnically its pronounced 'mowzul'...if tht helps...hey, wasnt my idea!

anyway this is a gorgeous pic i took. i have another version where i used photoshop to completely black out the bottom, but this seems nicer, so you can tell that there is a charning little village there

the sky's so pretty!

---

Agbar from the ground

Agbar Tower. Barcelona.

Perspective photo. the blurry bit at the top is the window of the coach (we couldnt get out coz we were on our way to the 22@ district for our geography urban survey)

i like this. Agbar tower has an odd but interesting design...

---

Paving the streets?

nah. this isnt on a street. i cannot for the life of me remember the name of the place, but its somewhere up on a high hill in Barcelona, a few miled behind the palace...

this is just sucha cooldesign i HAD to take a pic! :D i cant remember what it was supposed to represent, or maybe it was part of the revolutionary design thingamyjig...

whatever its cool, and it was part of a tourist trap slash monument place....

---

Bougainvillea at the villa

okay, I don’t live in a villa, I live in a bungalow. With a big garden, including plants such as the bougainvillea plant (if I spelt it wrong then....who cares? so sue me! {please don’t! })

I think this plant is GORGEOUS when it blooms, and when I took this pic, it was particularly rich.

btw, I'm one of the FEW people in Kuwait (yes, plants and flowers grow in a desert!) who has a garden...

it is so beautiful, sometimes I just go outside to look at it...

---

.......tadaaah! thts it for now!
i even had to do a spell check for the last one!

u like?

EDIT: yknow what? ratch tht. heres some more! :D :D :D

Kuwait Bay Walk monument 1

Installation 1 of the monument along Kuwait Bay Walk with no name

this was originally for a photography project. i dont think i did too badly, do you? i think i got all the nice shapes and shadows, as well as an interesting angle!

i guess its kinda like a gazebo thing to provide shade on a hot day (i.e. 70% of the year!)

---

Kuwait Bay Walk monument 2

another one. im in an obsessively photo-submitting mood today

same monument.gazebo thing, different angle. its cool isnt it?

---

Kuwait Bay Walk monument 3

number 3....my second favourite. other one next!

i thought the angle was perfect! peronally, that it.

i think the sun peaking over the ridge is very effective!

Despite what everyone who lives here says, Kuwait is really a beautiful country

---

Kuwait Bay Walk monument 4

MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE!!!!!

the angle i took this at makes it look like an olymipic-sized swimming pool! where in reality it is only a shallow pool that no one uses.

unfortunately the palm trees hadnt opened up (they were planted there), but o well. besides, if i took one now, it wouldnt be as good. the pool is now filthy! disrespectful litter bugs! RRR!

any way i love this. i go an A for my photography project! WOOHOO

---

Strolling by the palm trees

god, there MUST be a way to submit several deviations at once!...

The Scientific Centre Walkway at Kuwait Bay (a little further east from the regular Kuwait Bay walk. Its just so pretty!

Thats me and my mum waving to my dad the cameraman!

---

Bay's Point

thts what i call it anyway. it was a beautiful day so i took this. not for anthing in particular. no photography project. nope. just a pretty sight!

the water's so blue! ^^

---

Fountain Bliss

this is a fountain monument just outside the Scientific Centre, Kuwait. its pretty, yes?

---

okay i might just stop now. i know theres a lot and im sorry but i like them all and wanted to share them with you but i may as well do it in one big chunk! :D

Awesome work there Jagna. I have shamelessly stolen the first pick and it is now my background. I love sunsets.. and long walks on the beach #couldn't resist. I realised how ridiculous I sounded as I started typing and decided to run with the joke  #

Seriously though, great work. The pavers rock cause they look like little UFO landing sites and towers are great at looming aren't they? I completely relate to the back yard thing. Fortunately, my house has a half acre block in suburbia of Sydney and even though we are right next to the highway, it's great to be able to just lose yourself under the over hanging grape vines on the verandah.

Keep up the snaps. :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

 NICE!! ZOIDBERG EXIT FOR THE WIN!!

Just checked the new additions. I can see why your favourite one is so. The angle stretches the water out making the whole scene appear very majestic. The one with the light streaming through also caught my eye and yes, captured falling water always looks pretty and calming. Excellent work once again.
