(ooc: I think most people that are in this episode have posted already. :p Not sure who else needs to catch up at this point. The only person I can think of who didn't post is Arachniton and she is in CR.

(( OOC: Are you sure? Blazemane still wants to post for Cheetor (maybe), and... um... NK for Icebreaker and Rhinox, and their reactions to OP's debriefing. None of the others have anything to add to it? If not, fine!
I'm posting tomorrow evening regardless. Running on five hours of sleep all day today, so I'd like to go to bed early tonight. ...And now a thunderstorm is rolling in.
Sorry for the wait, guys. I'll post tomorrow evening! Next plans for Primal in this episode: Needs to speak with Ironclaw, and probably have a not-so-friendly discussion with Nemesis.
Everyone else can get to know Aurora and Ironclaw (after OP speaks with him). So spend tomorrow getting your thoughts together, people!
Ow! PILLOW! I needs you for sleep! ))

Steelclaw stumbled backwards as the lasers buried themselves into his shins, but he carefully stopped himself from giving off any other signs that he was in pain.
"Woh, so are you like... Starshadow's spark or something?" he asked nonchalantly. "If you're mad at Cecaelia, why didn't you kill her when you had... y'know, your own body?"
He kept his weapon pointed straight at his attacker's forehead, hoping to deter her from making any attacks. Cecaelia was an ally, after all. But Steelclaw knew his trigger finger could depress in matter of nano-clicks, and if he somehow didn't react in time, Glowstick would.
* * *
Cheetor was surprised by everything that had happened that day, but he wasn't surprised that his team mates had won so many battles.
The Preds could be a mean bunch. And they seemed like they were capable of doing a lot of bad stuff. But, somehow, things always worked out.
Sure, the Maximals had lost some of their own protoforms to the Predacons. They had even lost a member to Nemesis some time ago. It still hurt a little to think of Nightmist. She should not have died, and there really wasn't a remedy for that.
But... maybe it wasn't too late for the Maximals who had been reprogrammed. And when he looked across the group and found Aurora, hiding bashfully behind Ironclaw when Optimus mentioned the need for flying lessons- acting young like himself- Cheetor felt a small sense of resolution.
Cheetor quickly pulled himself out of his thoughts when he heard Optimus ask the group if they had anything more to add. He knew he didn't. And he kinda hoped the meeting would end soon. He'd never finished his movie.

I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

"No. I'm different from that shrunken predacon, it was a mistake to keep her alive as well," the serpent replied through Cecaelia's body. There was no need for any introductions for now."Woh, so are you like... Starshadow's spark or something?"
"Good question," she smirked and stood up, "I've thought about it but I decided I put that idea aside and come up with a game since I didn't have any fun for a long time.." she leaned against a wall beside Onyx, "If you want to save Cecaelia, ask Glowstick to rebuild and upgrade Starshadow's body. If you want to save both, fly us to base and you'll find out soon. If you do not want their sparks, well..you're a smart bot. I think you know what will happen to them next.""If you're mad at Cecaelia, why didn't you kill her when you had... y'know, your own body?"
She looked at Glowstick with a creepy smile, "What's your decision," she pulled out Cecaelia's venom blaster, pointing at him just incase he shoots, "sub-commander?"

Onyx grunted softly as he was thrown to the wall and fell to the floor, shaking his head as he looked at Cecaelia, or who was controlling her. In a way it still seemed her and Starshadow were being possessed. Standing Onyx held his rifle ready, glaring at the femme but could only watch the conversation not making any moveto harm the femme since she didn't even seem to have control anymore. Glancing sideways at her as she leaned against the wall the horse mech stepped away a few times, keeping his rifle focused on her."Who are you then if your not Starshadow?" He asked watching her carefully.

Glowstick was knocked back slightly as the lasers hit, his body showing burns at certain points with the smell of grilled squid in the air. He reframed from attacking as he heard her speak, his optics narrowed.
Glowstick sighed I think it's fairly clear who that is. As I said, they were mutated by a parasite. Apparently it's a fairly intelligent one.. Very well.. I'll restore Starshadow's body and bring you to a base, but probably not the one you want since we can't get into space yet.. As for upgrades.. well I still have an alternate armor I never gave her.. after her little event of trying to kill me before, I decided it might be a bit too dangerous if she could fly.. Though I have to wonder.. I've been over almost every inch of Starshadow's body for repairs.. where exactly were you hiding?

Icebreaker turned as he heard Optimus speak. He agreed for the most part that Nemesis was a pain, and he had no desire to speak to her. If he was left alone with her, he'd probably do alot worse then freeze her sold. He also wasn't entirely sure Starshadow was dead, having taken her on many times, she had more lives then all the times he'd taken damage in his life.
Rhinox continued typing away at the computer, examining the information from Archnitron. It became most concerning as he heard Optimus mention her.
Icebreaker then looked towards Optimus I'm fine with keeping Nemesis locked up for eternity for all I care.. but what are we going to do with Arachnitron? We can't exactly leave her unsupervised.. It'd be safest to keep her locked up in the brig as well as.. we tend to do that went someone's mental health is so dangerous.. but you're not likely to do that Optimus. So I'm guessing I will be taking guard duty?
Rhinox looked towards Icebreaker That might be a wise solution.. You're the most capable for that situation..
Icebreaker nodded Alright.. But I can't play guard on two Maximals.. so who's taking up my old job? Whitegrazer?

Awe. I didn't mean for OP to embarass Aurora, but I'm sure she'll get over it. She'll need to toughin' up with this group!
Thanks, Phoenix!
))
Noticing Aurora shy away and hide behind Ironclaw as much as she could, Optimus realized that he may not have worded his inquiry with Feralnight to train her in flight as well as he thought he had. Then again, he, and the most of the others occupying that room, didn't bother too much with embarassment. All of them had started somewhere being inexperienced, so it would be hypricritical for any of them to tease her about it. And actually, it didn't seem that anyone else really noticed or took his words the same way she did. Aurora would be fine, he assured himself, and was certain that she'd make a great flier soon. Hopefully she would understand someday why he was hasty to have her trained; because Predacons took advantage of new, inexperienced arrivals, and he wanted her to be as ready as possible the day she would come face to face with one.
The Maximal leader also thought he detected some disappointment, and perhaps reluctance, on Dinobot's face about the imprisonment of Nemesis. Why not just terminate her, right? After all, she had killed Nightmist. However, Optimus still wasn't sure what had exactly transpired that fateful day. Nightmist's death may still have been an accident, no matter how unlikely that might seem to some because she was a Decepticon, lost and confused on this strange planet after she was re-activated. Perhaps he would get an answer to that some day and finally lay the doubt and suspitions to rest.
Optimus had glanced at Orcariner, who showed up and remained outside the doorway, when the large Maximal caught the corner of his optic sensor, but he didn't faulter in his debriefing. He was glad to see the orca standing unscathed and calm after locking Nemesis up; meaning he hadn't run into any trouble with her even though she was unconscious at the time.
Moving on, it was time to assign some duties while he had everyone gathered. "Wintersong, get some rest and allow your beast mode to repair some of your injuries. The CR chambers will probably be occupied for some time with the injuries Whitegrazer and Arachnitron have sustained," Primal told her.
"Rhinox, please log in as much as Aurora's, Arachnitron's and Ironclaw's information as you can to our computer and Sentinel."
"Orcariner and Rattrap, get the surveillance, alarms and weapons set up on Nemesis' cell if they aren't already. Make sure everything is working properly. I want eyes on her frequently, especially when I head down there soon to pay her a visit." The leader's red optics glanced back and forth between the rat and the orca while he spoke to them. They couldn't afford any mistakes while she was being held in their ship.
"The rest of you are dismissed to resume your regular duties," Optimus said, glancing among them.
"Ironclaw, you wanted to speak with me?" Primal asked the honey badger as he stepped aside toward the corridor where Orcariner was, motioning Ironclaw with his good hand to follow him.
-----
Rattrap didn't feel comfortable at all having that Decepticon-turned-Predacon in their base, no matter how many precautions and tight security measures they'd practice on Nemesis. He was far more worried about her than Arachnitron's Predacon personality. What if Nemesis escaped her cell? He could only imagine all of the things she could and would do if someone couldn't stop her. On the other hand, he understood why Optimus wouldn't kill her, or even lay a hand on her for all that she has done, while they held her in captavity. Optimus was merciful and forgiveful, which separated him from Megatron. He just hoped his actions wouldn't come back to bite him in the end.
Walking over to Orcariner, he stopped and looked up at the much taller Maximal. "So, Orc, what all is up an' running for Nemesis? Did you make sure everything was working right? I wanna set up as much as we possibly can on her 'cause if she escapes, we're gonna be in a lotta trouble. I have a feeling she's probably close to blowing a fuse down there all alone in the dark, which isn't exactly a good thing. I think we all know what angry Preds are capable of."
(( OOC: There. Hope I didn't miss anything. I kind of rushed through it. ))
Long post is loooong lol.. Trying to give yourself hand pain to sympathize with Oppy? I posted a cure for hand ache in the general stuff forum!
Optimus periodically glanced at Wintersong and her injuries, knowing she'd have to be forced back into her beast mode eventually. He was glad she finally did so before he was about to say something about it."Beast mode."
Turning his attention to Frilla, Primal nodded at her and said, "Of course." He didn't think an extra function like that would interfer with her data analyzing too much once she has learned the majority of being a medic. After all, for all of the data and research the frilled lizard had entered into their computer, it was quite impressive and significant to their original mission of exploration.Optimus I did want to ask something." "I wanted to ask if I could get some medical training from those who know it here. I did some field repairs when with the Predacons, learned a bit from Glowstick, it might help in the long run."

Watching Icebreaker's and Rhinox's conversation that seemed to have already decided on what to do, Primal waited patiently to jump in, lowering his hands to his sides, and very slightly and gently squeezing his injured hand with the tightly wrapped bandages. "It doesn't matter who supervises who as long as they have a means of subduing them with ice and/or sedatives. Icebreaker, if you have a spare weapon for ice, then give it to Feralnight or Whitegrazer. Arachnitron said she would control herself to the best of her abilities, but I don't know what the extent of those abilities are yet. Her Predacon programming purposely puts her through a lot of agony and seems to have the intentions of doing a lot of harm to everyone else. It almost seems that if her Maximal programming is in control for a lengthy period of time, it drains her energy, thus allowing her Predacon side to surface. Whether this happens vice versa, I don't know. While I was speaking with her Predacon personality before Nemesis interrupted us, Arachnitron's dampers began failing by being exposed to the raw energon fields too long. Giving control back to her Maximal side at that point, it appeared as though her Predacon programming wouldn't allow her to transform to her beast mode." Optimus gave a quiet and thoughtful sigh. "If she can't control it as well as she hopes to, then she'll leave on her own accord. To be honest, I'm not so sure either programming is supposed to have control over the other. At this point, it almost seems that they need to find a balance in order to function. In any case, everyone just needs to be on alert when you're around her. Some of her warnings signs that you should be aware of are when her Maximal programming is in control, her optics are green. When her Predacon programming takes over, her optic sensors change to red. There is also a variation in her voice." Arachnitron's programming was so incredibly illusive and unpredictable that it was possible that no one could help her. That poor soul who was suffering so much every day since she had been brought on-line.Alright.. But I can't play guard on two Maximals.. so who's taking up my old job? Whitegrazer?

Wintersong listened quietly, thinking back to when they had saved Arachnitron earlier that day and before helping Rattrap's group she had risked stopping the arachnid from shooting herself in the head. It made the tigeress inwardly shudder thinking about such a sight. But she looked as Optimus addressed her and let out a low growl of frustration, hating to have to be confined to the Axalon since her injuries were too much risk of going outside again and honestly she didn't mind waiting for the CR chambers much of which form the debriefing it seemed Whitegrazer and Arachnitron were in worse shape then she was. Without another word to the others she walked out of the main bridge, wincing a bit from pain though it wasn't as bad though still bad enough and went to her assigned quarters which was close to as bare as one's room could get, walking to the berth and jumping up carefully. "Maybe a good recharge will help." She muttered and rested her head between her front paws before closing her eyes to sleep.

"Yes, sir," Orcariner replied from the hallway.Optimus Primal wrote:"Orcariner and Rattrap, get the surveillance, alarms and weapons set up on Nemesis' cell if they aren't already. Make sure everything is working properly. I want eyes on her frequently, especially when I head down there soon to pay her a visit."
He approved of his leader's decision to leave no room for error. Safety was a top priority with any Predacon for they all posed a unique danger in their own right. While he highly doubted Nemesis would break free of that cell, even with her weapons, he had seen the recorded footage of her first encounter with Primal and the crew. What the Predacon bird lacked in power, she made up for in cunning and skill. Who knew how much experience was stored in that processor after years, if not centuries of existing as a Decepticon soldier.
Orcariner looked down at Rattrap who had approached him. He motioned the rodent to follow him down the hallway and back into the detention facility.Rattrap wrote:"So, Orc, what all is up an' running for Nemesis? Did you make sure everything was working right? I wanna set up as much as we possibly can on her 'cause if she escapes, we're gonna be in a lotta trouble. I have a feeling she's probably close to blowing a fuse down there all alone in the dark, which isn't exactly a good thing. I think we all know what angry Preds are capable of."
"I set the thermostat to negative degrees," he said, "It'll take an hour or so, but her cell will feel like a polar climate zone soon enough. Given the effect Icebreaker's weaponry had on her nanobots from Nightmist's corpse, we were able to deduce that Nemesis has a weakness to freezing temperatures. It won't kill her, and our conditioners probably won't even be strong enough to freeze her, but at least her systems will be so scrambled that she won't be thinking straight enough to bust out.
The cells are isolation chambers with no windows or openings. The door and walls are thick enough to stop most Cybertronians except for those whose strength exceeds a class 10. Well, some class 10s might succeed, but I'm going off of the ship's retail manual and not experience. Only one security camera is installed and it's covered by a black-glass orb. The cover is not protective at all, but at least we'll know if she's attacking the camera before it actually gives out. Door is sealed and there's actually no password to get in. I rigged the algorithm so that the Sentinel will only open the cell to Maximals with a rank of 8 or higher. Rhinox designed the security system himself, and given that he's the best coder we've got, I'd say Megatron won't breach our firewall that easily."
He paused to punch in a security code to enter the brig. The doors opened and he led Rattrap into dark facility.
He continued, "Sentinel also enforces the security here with auto-turrets from the ceiling which are set to stun. Rather than fire concentrated projectiles like your usual military weapon, the turrets emit electromagnetic waves to cover a wide surface area. The emission is broad enough to tackle even the most acrobatic individuals, and the steady stream ensures that the transformer is disabled within nanoklicks regardless of armor thickness."
He chucked.
"Again, Rhinox designed that part of the system and yes, I was the one he tested this on. Given my size and militaristic design, I was built to withstand damage from a variety of things including your typical EMP shots. Rhinox found a way around it. The flood effect of the guns ensure that whatever's trying to escape will be brought down before it can even blink."
It was amazing what a simple computer program could do. Granted, this was the same program that nearly exiled them all from their base, but that was only proof that it was efficient. Orcariner and Rattrap would not have to do much other than check in through the security camera every now and then.
"Oh, and the cell is insulated so she can't hear what we're saying and vice versa. The lack of sound and visual means that we'll still need to monitor her on camera, even though the only feasible exit is breaking down the door. It's better to be safe than sorry so I can stand guard and you can do monitor duty. My scanners are strong enough to penetrate these walls so I can also keep tabs on her through my own interface. The only thing we'll have to change is the temperature once Optimus comes down here. I don't know if he'll want to talk to her in a freezing environment, and I doubt she'll be a very good conversation-piece with all the shivering."

(ooc: lol, those are some pretty intense safety measures.. out of curiosity I checked who, if any, among the Maximals are rank 8.0 and above. Only Rhinox and Primal himself were with 8.0 and 10.0 respectively. There appears to be nobody with the rank 9.0.
Also the rank system is in desperate need of upgrades. Orcariner is still a 6.0, yet Primal places a lot of faith in the guy's abilities and he has been taking on something of a leadership role. Why is Frilla's rank only 4.0 when some of the new characters are a 6.0? I think she has proved herself by now and should at least be a 6.0. Aurora's rank, if I may put in my .2 cents here, I think should be the 4.0 given her lack of experience to the team and all. Our good general is a 7.0 despite her tendency to run off and lack of reliability as of late with her little personal issue. Maybe she used to be a 8.0? Rhinox should definitely be a 9.0 I think.. Whitegracer is a 7.0, and Valkyrie ranks as high as Rhinox with 8.0 despite never being there and as far as I could tell not taking on a leadership role or anything..Rattrap and Dinobot, who battle it out over leadership after Primal's private 4th of July, are 7.0 and 6.0 respectively. I have nothing but respect for all the characters involved, but shouldn't the rank actually reflect their role in the hierarchy? )
As Optimus went on to other subjects and then seemed to finish the debriefing, Aurora finally stepped out from behind Ironclaw. She had sensed him looking at her, but most of all she had just wanted to disappear when Optimus told everyone of her slight problem with flight.
With the debriefing now over, the group slowly started to dissipate, leaving only a few individuals in close proximity to Ironclaw and herself. One of these individuals was Optimus himself, who had approached them to speak with Ironclaw. Aurora grudgingly came out from behind the larger badger and started moving away as if to give the two of them some privacy. While moving she glanced back at Ironclaw giving him a reassuring smile, before focusing on the commander. "I hope your hand feels better soon," she told him in a low voice so she wouldn't draw attention to the leader's wound if the others had not noticed.
Aurora didn't know how Primal had come to get his hand beat up like that, but she figured it was related to the captured Predacon. Or perhaps even Arachnitron's Predacon half. But she did not ask.
Upon looking up at the boss monkey, she noticed the caring look in his eyes and felt reassured he only wanted what's best for all his Maximals, herself included. Her face lit up a bit again and without thinking she suddenly gave the wounded commander a nice, comforting hug. (hah!) After holding him for a brief moment she let go and continued on her way so Primal could have the chat with Ironclaw that he wanted.
She moved out of the room, intending to check up on Arachnitron and Whitegrazer who were recovering in the CR chambers. Hopefully they would both emerge from their slumber soon, fully recovered.
To get to the CR chambers, she had to pass by the large whale who had been lingering in the hallway during the meeting. She had caught a glimpse of him when he poked his head in earlier, but now that she got to see him up close she could not help but stare in awe when seeing how big he was up close.
"Hi," she told him, a little nervous sounding but at the same time very sweetly, "I take it you must be Orcariner? I saw you briefly on the way inside after the battle, but didn't get a chance to say hello."
She smiled up at him as she climbed onto a ledge to gain a little bit of height. Compared to her meager 5 ft frame, the killer whale was truly a giant.
"I'm Aurora, in case you didn't figure that out already."
Standing there in front of him certain parts of Nightmist was very much so recognizable in the tiny, younger female. Unbeknownst to the new Maximal, she had inherited certain physical traits as well as personality traits from the deceased medic, without taking away from her unique physical appearance. There were just subtle reminders to those that had known Nightmist, albeit Aurora obviously both looked and acted younger than her counterpart. However if looking more closely at the details of her armor, a few of Nemesis' physical traits became clear as well. Those, too, were subtle and would not really be noticeable at first glance.
In a different part of the ship, Nemesis remained still in a crouching position, as she stared at the pieces of ice in front of her that she'd set up like they belonged in a game of chess. Having a focal point helped her concentration a bit, although it was impossible to block out the rest of the cell entirely.
The sensation of panic was a constant foe she had to battle while incarcerated, but Nemesis knew all too well that going into a state of panic would not help her figure a way out. So she remained put, trying as best she could not to look around and to try to convince herself she was somewhere else..
It was not working.
In a fit of rage the female suddenly grabbed a handful of the broken ice and slammed them against the locked door. "I will destroy you all!," she screamed, as she slammed herself hard against the wall next to her. It wasn't even an attempt at escape, but at least it allowed for her to release a little bit of built up frustration. Sighing upon realizing that she hadn't even made a dent in the wall, the Predacon angrily kicked the remaining pieces of ice before facing the other wall. She slammed her fist against that wall, before slowly sinking back to the floor while holding her now sore knuckles.

"Who are you then if your not Starshadow?"
The serpent possesing Cecaelia chuckled, "It's expected for a Cybertronian to think my kind as "parasites" stupid creatures. The scientists call me Visia." she lowered her gun.I think it's fairly clear who that is. As I said, they were mutated by a parasite. Apparently it's a fairly intelligent one..
Interesting. He wasn't going to shoot her like most Cybertronians did. What could be more fun than confusing a predacon like him. It would be interesting to see his reaction if he gets annoyed, "I've changed my mind. We'll go back to the Darksyde and play a little game! The prize would be the sparks."Very well.. I'll restore Starshadow's body and bring you to a base, but probably not the one you want since we can't get into space yet.. As for upgrades.. well I still have an alternate armor I never gave her.. after her little event of trying to kill me before, I decided it might be a bit too dangerous if she could fly..
"Somewhere...away from your tentacles."Though I have to wonder.. I've been over almost every inch of Starshadow's body for repairs.. where exactly were you hiding?

"Yes sir" Ironclaw responded to Optimus's question of him wanting a chat. He watched as most of the maxiamls left for other duties whether they be recovery and petrol.
As Optimus approached him he saw Aurora come out from behind him and move away. He saw her smile at him, so he returned the exprresion. Ironclaw didn't want Aurora to leave but then he knew his convesation with Optimus took priority.
He almost thought Aurora was gone when she suddenly returned and gave Optimus a hug. Ironclaw tilted his head and put his hands on his hips, he wondered why she did that. He glared at her as she left then changed his focus to Optimus
Ironclaw walked down the hallway with Optimus. "Optimus I never really got a chance to speak with you. I'm not really used to all, I mean i didn't mean to come here so at first I felt out of place. Since you already have an engineer. I was looking through some of the archives. As you may know Ironhide was my ancester, who knew your ancester the original Optimus Prime. Ironhide was also his second in command" he said thinking about how far away he was from that, but he continued. "I know I can't live up to that but I want to you know that I'm going to try and hope we can be good friends" Ironclaw stopped, turned to Optimus and put his hand out for him to shake. He then remembered that Optimus had damaged his hand so he so he recoiled his own.

Frilla listened to what else was said, wondering what more troubles lied ahead in the coming months to follow. Having no way off the planet it would be months before something would happen. With a sigh after they were dismissed Frilla headed to her quarters to get some more files checked and logged. A lot had happened today and it seemed everyone had a lot on their minds because of it. It only could be a taste of what to expect, which the frilled lizard wasn't sure what else could possibly happen. As she came in her assigned quarters Frilla walked to the desk and sat down, looking at the blank monitor.
She reflected on today's mission and those passed since arriving on the planet. She was honestly glad she had decided to turn sides and couldn't help wondering why she had become a Predacon before. It was a stupid move that she didn't plan to make again.
Feralnight meanwhile left to go on a patrol, having nothing else to do. And right now there didn't seem much she could do.

Blackarachnia was back at her lab, unknowing about the whole situation between Starshadow and the others.
She looked around alittle unease. She knew her room could be bugged or a spy cam somewhere. Before she wanted to try anything, she casually walked around her room, thoughtfully.
If I was Megatron, where would I place a spy camera? She checked her desk very thoroughly. Nothing. Not even a listening device. Glancing at the corners of her room, there was still nothing.
Megatron is a overconfident tyrant. Maybe he put it in an obvious place to throw me off.
She transformed into beast mode and jumped onto the ceiling of her room when she noticed an odd object that camouflage with the rest of the steel pattern yet its proportion was alittle off. One of her legs smashed it.
Got ya.
There was probably a listening device too but that didn't bother her at the least. Transforming back into her robot mode, she took out the black fluid and pressed a button under the desk to reveal the husk she got. It only took her few minutes to survey the husks' body. Like she had thought, the husk was made of pure energon yet with organic properties. If she would have guess, the husks could have been an organic species before expertimentation. Just a theory though. For all she knew, the husks were just this, nothing more.
But the cybernetics all over the body matched the alien's trope of technology. Were the aliens' expertimenting on organic species of this planet? Maybe that's why there was only beasts left on the planet. It would match the aliens' ruthless and disregard for sentient life.
She didn't care really. The cybernetics, the alien's technology that's what she wanted to grasp.
Despite the husk's disfigurements and disgusting appearance, she may be able to reverse engineer and took out of it's technology. It would have to be subtle though. She didn't want to damage its structure.
The black fluid she had was an even bigger mystery. There was no known properties. It was alien, yes yet it didn't fit with the rest of their technology at all. No shape, no form but every time she looked upon it, it felt like it was gazing back at her. Very eerie.
Why did all this matter anyway? Tarantulas has been planning to leave this planet, knowing something everyone didn't. If so, all this was for nothing but she will keep studying. Knowledge was power.
