The large praying mantis had been roaming the wilds for the past few days, still with no sign of any Cybertronian. The whole world seemed to be a vast landscape of fleshy creatures for his own delights. Perhaps exile was to be his punishment, the creature thought to himself. If this was true, Primal had likely dropped him off on some random planet, doomed to wander alone for eternity. The prospect of this actually delighted the crazed insect. He would take over the world and enslave its populace to bow-down to himself or die under his heel.
While he had once been a maximal, a guard for the Golden Disk, Manterror performed an act of betrayal. Instead of keeping the prized artifact safe, the Predicons gave him an offer which he couldn't refuse and instead he worked as an inside-man, killing many of his former allies in order to clear a path. While he had succeeded to an extent, he was taken offline by one of his targets and later brought to justice by the Maximals. The last thing he remembered was being shoved into a stasis pod and getting a good look at Optimus Primal, who was standing-by, watching. He woke up again on this world. Alone.
Or at least, for the moment. Directly above him, a flaming object came crashing towards the planet. It was headed towards the edge of the forest he had been living in, not far from his current location. Intrigued, he kicked off from the ground and began fluttering his wings. He was in Beast Mode, and had been doing nothing of importance before witnessing this spectacle. Perhaps it would prove to be just falling debris, but possibly, another of his own kind - an exile from Cybertron whom Manterror could ally himself with to conquer this world!
Soaring through the trees, the Mantis set off towards Inferno's future pod.

"Damage to hatch seals and internals. Attempting to initiate emergency sequence." A computer voice spoke after crashing down in the barren lands of grid 'Scavos'. The ship had dealt heavy damage to the Maximal Stasis pod and the surrounding energon had not done much to help matters either. Ripples of energy coursed through its charred remains at regular intervals. A large rock had also managed to land on top of its large escape hatch. The prospect of life was beginning to look grim for the protoform inside.
"Systems damage to extensive. Activation program offline. Spark fading. Repair required before protoform ceases to exist in 20.8 cycles."
((Modified the episode slightly to fit our purposes. I'll keep a countdown going for the Maximals to arrive before her spark fades, so get here quick!))
