Hello,
a queston/what-if for Inferno. As we know he was a maximal protoform, then tarantulas inplanted the pred shell program, but the stasis pod already selected an ant, and the result was inferno acting like an ant because his logic circuits don't work.
Let's say what if Tarantulas and BlackArachnia didn't get there on time. The stasis podthen activated Inferno as a Maximal because no shell program would have been installed. Would he still have thought he was an ant?
And can't the preds not just fix his logic circuits?

So did the installation of the Predacon shell program assist in Inferno's logic circuits getting wrecked?
I'm not sure. As far as I've been able to tell, it's the trauma of the stasis pod falling to and landing on the Earth that causes problems with protoforms- Tigatron's identity circuits getting damaged, nobody remembering their past, etc. So I guess I always thought that the crash hurt his logic circuits.
That having been said, you bring up an interesting point. And the possibility of Tarantulas' shell program hurting Inferno's mentality would be ironic.
I guess it'd be hard to see what hurt him either way though.
At any rate, welcome to the site, Shockwave! If you want, you can write up a self-introduction thread in the "Introduce Yourself!" forum.

I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Seeing how the Maximals could not "fix" Tigatron's identity circuits, I don't think Inferno would have been repaired (and I'm glad he wasn't). If he didn't have his shell programing, Optimus Primal would be his "queen"

but tigatron's pod crashed, while Inferno's pod landed nicely
It would have been more fitting if Terrorsaur and Waspinator got there first and installed the shell program. Would be better to explain Inferno's malfunctioning
And Waspinator getting zapped while installing it

Truth. He didn't crash after all.but tigatron's pod crashed, while Inferno's pod landed nicely
But crash landing (which didn't happen) and the Predacon shell program aren't the only two things that could have harmed his logic circuits, although the shell program is a distinct and interesting possibility. So I guess I still don't know what specifically hurt him.

lol just blame the engineer who built that stasis pod. He should get fired... or demoted.

I think yes, he still would have been an ant. Wasn't that the only lifeform alive...that we could see?
But then again with Quickstrike and Silverbolt we didn't see their creatures before.

I think it was just the fact that his beast mode was just that, an ant. We've seen how other characters can be affected by their own beast modes, and Inferno's is just so single-minded and devoted that those traits carried over and messed with his personality and logic circuits.
